Me and my mate where having an argument whether a standard CD could be burnt using a DVD-RW or whether only DVD's could be burnt on a DVD-RW. Could someone please settle this?? 🙂

define standard CD? I doubt theres such a thing as there are a few formats. Also you mean a DVD Burner right? DVD RW although without +/- is a DVD Format. If your asking if a CD R/RW could be burnt by a DVD Burner majority of the recent DVD Burners allow it. I have a old one which does. However it will also depend on CD format as well.
Depends on the drive, but I don't envisage many manufacturers deliberately making a DVD burner that can't burn CDs as well. I know mine can. It's got all the logos stamped across the front of the tray to prove it.
