email bounce

I have read so much on emails that bounce and it is so confusing. I have a few questions.

First I know there must be many people out there that email scripts of some sort.
How do you control bounced emails ?

Is there a way to prevent bounce emails from happening thru php code ?

Does bounce email go to the return-path ? In which my case says apache@.......... ? Any simple way to change that in pear, and if so where and how ?

Is there a way to figure out what email address bounce using php code and then php and mysql would update status of a user ?

Does Pear control bounce and if so how and where to edit it ?

So many questions !!

Having a member confirm email for sure helps, but doesn't help if email is full to the rim, then email of course will bounce....

Would love some suggestion on this issue, sence so many servers complaine about bounce emails and I do not blame them at all.

Theres only so much you can do with Mailing in PHP and any language. This is just one things that I cannot see possible and still havent seen anything that can do such a task. You can search the board to see if there is some sort of solution however you will probably just notice the same response ive given you.

There is no way for your server to control the recipient's server, in any language. If it bounces your email then that is it's business. If you think about it, this has to be the case or the spam merchents would have a field day. Imagine if they could override your block-senders list for instance.

Ok but is there a way so that if a email bounces, then that email can be put on a list so that that persons email address can be blocked to stop from the next time from being sent an email ?
