[Resolved] creating sub directory via mkdir

Hi all,
Why would the following code be creating the first mkdir() but not the sub directory?

$dirupload = "C:/test/images/" . $new_edit_id . "/";

$oldumask = umask(0); 
mkdir($dirupload, 0777);
mkdir ($dirupload."thumb_pics", 0777);
chdir('./'); 
umask($oldumask);

is safemode on?

if so, you cant. its a limitation of safemode.
mkdir creates the directory under a different owner than php. and if safemode is on, you cant write to a directory not owned by php.

you should be getting an error when you try if safemode is on though....

you could use php's ftp functions to log in via ftp and create the directories though, as safemode wont restrict that.

I just checked and Safe MOde is turned Off.

Just tried your code and it works fine for me if I create c:\test\images and run it with $new_edit_id='1';

What is the value of $new_edit_id you are trying to use.

I did manage to get it to work, the problem was stupidity on my part 😉
