How to search this condition

SELECT * FROM agentacco ORDER BY Date BETWEEN $fromdate AND $todate

is this the correct way of searching the field date in mysql? coz i had my field use the "date" function and i don't know what is the correct way of searching for this kind of argument... can someone please help me... thanks!

You've got the ORDER BY in the way. It should be

select * from a where date between $d1 and $d2 order by date

possible problem might be the field named "date"... try using ramjets code but put ticks (``) around the date (date)... ticks not single quotes('')... since date is a defined variable in sql...
