SOCKETMAIL 2.2 - Small error.URGENT help requested

Hello Friends,
I'm new tho this forum and as well as to PHP.I've a socketmail 2.2 version.I installed it on my server.Everything is working fine but except a small warning message on the INDEX page.

The warning is somewhat like below.

Warning: fread(): Length parameter must be greater than 0. in /home/******/public_html/emaildemo/inc-common/inc-common.php on line 283

Can anybody help me..??

I'm attaching the inc-common.php file with this post.

Please help me....

Warnings are normally OK to ignore.

You can stop the warning from appearing by putting this line of code at the top of the php page:

error_reporting(E_ERROR);

and btw i wanted to learn PHP and MYSQL.Where will i get good material...?
