"Thinking in java" like PHP book

Hi guys 🙂

I'm quit new to PHP world; but i have behind me the experience of learning c/c++ and java programming...in the process of learning java i used the excellent book "Thinking in java" by bruceeckel ...and didn't i mentioned it was free 😉
i'm wondering if there is any PHP FREE book that will equal the authority and fame of "thinking in java" ?

Not that I am aware of however since you know c/c++ java you should eat PHP up in no time. However there is the manual http://php.net/manual/en it has all the documentation on the PHP functions with comments from users of ways they have used it or alternatives to using a function mentioned. Its probably the best resource you'll find to learn the basics in PHP.
