I'm looking for a good way to search an article database.
Offcource i could do something like
"Select aricle From table Where aricle like '%".$keyword.'"
But this is extremely slow on larger database. Same thing goes for full text searches. MySQL just not seem to be really fast at it.
I also took a look at Xapian, but that just seems a but overkill.
I'm looking foor a good way to search a medium to large (think 1Gb+) database fast for highload servers.
The app i'm developing is going to be mirrored on many servers, and i have to take in account that not all serveradmins are willing to install extra's like Xapian
