Love nl2br, are there more?

Hi all,

I'm pulling rtf text out of a SQL db to put into a website.

Using the nl2br($var) liberally, but I'm wondering if there are more functions I can use to handle, tabs, bolds, etc. Looked at htmlentities() but not useful here as the text was generally pasted into an Access interface.

If I'm toasted, does anyone have a way to better enter data into Access so we can save future material? (Yes, working on a webform)
