Session ID Showing

Is there a way i can stop the session id from showing in the address bar when somebody clicks through to my login.php page?

login.php?PHPSESSID=2ae1b5f205d195ae76f5f986f5cda564

it looks horrible and i have a feeling this isnt too safe either... can someone shed some light on this area for me?

You might need to change the session.use_trans_sid setting to 1.

ah ok, how would i do that? Im working on a remote server with php already installed...

Modify php.ini or create a .htaccess file that sets:
session.use_trans_sid = 0
or
session.use_trans_sid = 1
as you require.
