ok .. friends and i need a lil php database for simple text input garbage... trying to explain in detail without details.. hmm.. :rolleyes:

like ... 2 Categorys... each with pages under them... like so...

and the subcategorys will be clickable and go to a page with information inputted by the user... like...

Date:
Involved:
What Happened:

and there can be multiple entries for each one... and the recent stays on top...

basically I just want something that one person can fill out, and it can be displayed to others simply - with a user interface that is just a couple of text fields and a submit button, so the user doesn't have to know PHP...

someone tell me if im in to deep of .. u know what.. already...

if anyone has any links or anything to where I should start -

ive used a TINY bit of php before.. ie like i stared at it for 6 hours and modified it... shh.. heheeh

Que? WTF are you on about? You want a shoutbox?
Your post is really hard to understand what you're on about. If it is just a simple shoutbox you want that's a piece of cake and shouldn't be too deep in "no I don't know, what?".

Let's double check. You want a form which submits to script which adds to a database table. The you want a page which pulls out of this table the most recent entries and displays them on a page. Is this correct?

yes.. I want like a list of items.. and in each one a list of events that occured in order of when they were posted, and each event with 3 fields.
