Grabing data from another website

I am trying to figure out how to grab text from another website and display it on mine. I would like to display up to date weather reports for snow skiing resorts. There are many websites that offer up to the minute weather conditions already, i just need to know how this is done? I have emailed some ski resorts to see if they provide this data in xml or an rss feed but am still waiting for a response. I need to know how to get data if they don't provide this data any other way then from thier website. If anyone can help me with what i need to do i would greatly appreciate your input.

Grabbing content from someone else's website without permission may put you in a position of violating copyright law.

If you do have permission, then you should Google "screen scraping" for various tutorials. Generally you will fetch the page using PHP's network-aware filesystem functions, then extract the information you need using regular expressions.
