Hi people,

I need some help with adding some code to my site.

Im sure ive seen the code on here somewhere but cant find it again.

I want some code that allows users to add links, images etc using [ B ] [ / B ] in this stlye. The same with links and other formatting exactly how it works when writing a post here.

I cant work out how to search and replace these tags.

And maybe if you are real helpfull, you can tell me how to add buttins like the ones above to add the tags.

try looking at str_replace

you could loop through all the codes you plan to interpret and change each one. i would avoid just replacing the [ or ] chars because that might interfere with other things people are trying to type.

if that doesn't work, also check out preg_replace or ereg_replace
