Sorry I thought that by posting it on phpbuilder.com that you would know that I am talking about using php.
I can't find out how to calculate the shutter speed in the exif data of an image through PHP.
using exif_read_data() for the images from my camera does not include usable data for the shutter speed, only the IFD0-ExposureTime value which is a, I would assume, string value of something similar to 43/10. THis is the reciprocal of the shutter speed. In this case 43/10 = 10/43 = 1/4 sec in standard shutter speed notation. I need to be able to take this data from the jpeg file and display the shutter speed for the image in a standard notation, ie. 1/4 sec, 1/250 sec, 1/2000 sec. But as far as I can tell I cannot in php take the string value of 43/10 and use it in mathmatecal calculations.
In other words how do I go from 43/10 or 280/10, etc... to values like 1/4 and 1/250 respectively with PHP
