not enough permissions to delete a file

Hi!. I want to delete a file using unlink() function. I'm getting a warning that says that I have no permissions to do that.

I suppose that is because the file I'm trying to delete is under the root directory path. I searched the forum about deleting files but found nothing alike my problem...

Could some one give me a hint...

It is more probably because you are trying to do it through a script which operates as anonymouse web user with only read privileges. Good thing to or anyone could point a script at your files and hack them to death.

Ok. It's a protection I'll love the most, but How can I solve my problem. I think it's about running my script under a specific user, but how can I do that?

Of course there is - fix the permissions.
