hello...

how would i go about doing something like this... (this is a simple example)

i want to select Name, Location, Age from a table where their age is 1 of 3 options, and then check if their locaiton is valid and then check if they are female.. then sort by age... i THOUGHT the code would look like this... but it dont work right 🙁

"SELECT Name, Location, Age FROM people WHERE Age = '$Age1'
 OR Age = '$Age2' OR Age = '$Age3' AND Location = '$Location' AND Sex = '$Sex' AND Level LIMIT 0, 60"

anyway that works, but it doesnt get me the data i want..it just seems to match everything too it... and if i put "ORDER BY Age" at the end it kicks up a fuss...

so if i wanted to get someone by the age of 16,24,52 who was in UK and female the results would show everything no matter what age was defined 🙁

am i doing it in the wrong order or am i just stupid..lol and can i use LIMIT and ORDER together in a query?

Kind of a wierd setup isn't it? Someone who is 16 or 24 or 52? Are you sure you are not after someone in and age range?

The bit that should have given it away was FEMALE. In the UK, it would appear, that a woman can be any age she wants so often gets confused by her real age.....

lol my actual problem is nothing to do with ages, its part of my game battle system.. i have to check if a creature is available in agiven location... so a monster has up to 5 spawn points... so i need to check if the current spawn point is one of the 5... (thats the or part..)

then i have to make sure they are within a level range (one and) and then check if they are of a certain type (another and)... its just its easier to make a simple example of my problem so people can give me simple answers than trying to give a background story to my problem and explain why im doing something.. anyway thanks for info 🙂
