Separating data from text files

Hi

I had data in ASCII fomats
200501131230DataUpload1
200501141230DataUpload2

First 9 character indicates date,after that 4 characters is time and 11 is text.
Is it possible to separate these data with date column and text using php and upload to mysql. I would appreciate if someone could advice me on this regard.

Yes this function will work , but how can i read the next line , could you pleas help on this..

Try using fgets

...you can use file() function to read the file in to array and avery index is for every line of the text...

That is if you read file and you get all those lines from a file like I thought you do...
