Input Prompting - help please.

Hi All,

I have been looking around trying to find information on 'prompting' for an input box.

Say, for example you had the following

Aardvark
Ant
Ant Eater
Antelope

etc....

Now as you type in to the input box a bit of code tries to 'pre guess' wha tyou are trying to do.... a bit like auto fill, but without having had to type in advance.

All the objects would be stored in one column of the database. In my case they would be part numbers.

Any pointers would be appreciate.

Well the best thing I can point you to is a javascript source because this is client-side programming, not php.

My bet is you'll find all sorts of scripts for this.

The php part will be passing the list to a javascript array so that there is something to crunch.
