Does anyone know anything about PHP Flash Remoting?
I have a new project where I'll be responsible for the PHP/mySQL part of an educational kid's site (grades K-4). I'll be taking care of log in and tracking skill levels. They chose me, not because I have a clue (which I don't, but neither does anyone else here) but because somehow I have the reputation of working through problems and figuring out answers to the "tough questions." Maybe I just know who to ask. 😉
I just bought O'Reilly's Flash Remoting and a couple of VERY basic Flash MX 2004 books to help me get the feel of Flash without overwhelming me. I also have borrowed the O'Reilly ActionScript for Flash MX book several weeks ago, which WAS NOT where I needed to start. Though I understand the terms, I could not sit down with that book and run through anything in Flash MX 2004 because MX 2004 is enough different from MX that I was lost.
Been Googling php-flash-remoting and am even more confused. Can someone shed some light?
Also, if this discussion needs to move somewhere else, let me know where. The closest possiblity I saw was the Dreamweaver Forum.
