registering Domains

Hi,

I am setting up a hosting page for a friend who has a reseller account with fasthosts and registers domains through UKreg.

Currently customers fill out a form which and request the domain name they want however this has to be registered manually through the UKreg site. I'd like to be able to integrate this in my site and was wondering if anyone has experience with a similar problem?

Neither Ukreg or Fasthosts have been very helpful on this issue...

Your friend should try to get a reseller account with Nominet, who are The registry for .uk domain names. nominet
UKreg and the others are only reselling Nominet services themselves.
The cheap domain registration prices that you see are only possible through automation. Nominet are very helpfull when it comes to setup and automation. I know, I was in that business back in 2001 and we used Nominet and eNOM .
The same applies for all other TLDs and the real registries. So why go through a resller when you deal with the source.
