[Resolved] javascript format text box

I'm looking to create a way in my site where users can enter text into a text box (much like I'm doing now) and then format the text using buttons on a toolbar (like this ). Basically, I want to have functionality similiar to the text box functionality I'm using to compose this message. Can anyone point me to a good site where I can learn how to create these and see some sample scripts I can modify. My Google search came up with no useful results, but maybe I was searching for the wrong thing.

Well, you might try viewing the source code for the reply page to see how it's done. Thing is, it'll probably frighten the life out of you. I know it did when I looked at it. All I can say is good luck.

I've long since forgot about this thread, but I might as well record my solution for anyone who searches on this thread in the future.

I found two javascript-based editors that are WYSIWYG, like in Word. They are TinyMCE and FCKEditor. Both perform what I want. In general, I find that TinyMCE is faster than FCKEditor, but takes up more disk space.
