website not working after mysql install

Windows 2003 server Enterprise
IIS 6.0
PHP 5.0.2
Mysql 4.0.21

I currently installed web server, php, and mysql. PHP works fine on my computer, but after i installed mysql, the website no longer loads. I have diagnosed the problem down to uncommenting the php.ini file. extension mysql.dll. When its uncommented the entire website no longer will run, server not found... But if i put the ";" back on the extension, the site works fine, not included mysql of course. Any help would be apreciated.

i restart the server after any changes (cmd prompt)

libmysql.dll located windows/system

extension_dir "./"

Hi,

move libmysql.dll to system32 and change extension_dir to the ext directory, e.g.

extension_dir=C:\php5\ext
