I have just designed an on line textbased browser mafia game. i have done all the plans and everything and know exactly what i want to do. i know a little bit of php but i will need help starting of this game so could someone please help me start of this game. Since I can't look at NY Mafia without registering - something I have no intention of doing - I can't judge what it is you want to do. I suspect I wouldn't be able to help you anyway.

What I wanted to say though, is that you are probably going to get zero replies to this request. Requests that run along the lines of, 'I've planned this game and need someone to tell me how to programme it because I actually have no idea' usually get ignored. If you want to learn PHP, start with something simpler, e.g. a website with user login and authentification - that would be a necessary first element of a game site. Nobody is going to help you unless you show that you've done some coding yourself.

I have already got the login script you can see it here and i also have an entire plan of the game. The problem im having is that i dont no where to start. What i realy need is the code of a game like this that i can rewrite, so does anybody know where i can get code like this

I was like you when I was 14. I wanted to create a Text Based game and here I am, two years later. I am an awsome PHP programmer and I know program for clients.

I first started off wanting to make a Lord of the Rings RPG and I have made one (http://www.elarune.net) along with a few others. All I did was buy one book called PHP and MySQL for dummies. I read it and then I started programming making on script at a time.
