GD Version? More info than "2.0 or higher"

How do I find out exactly what version of GD my hosting provider is running? When I run gd_info(void), as well as phpinfo() it returns the GD Version as "2.0 or higher".

The issue is that my site no longer works, I believe it may be due to the fact that PNG images are being processed by GD and my host may have upgraded to version 2.0.28 which doesn't have PNG support from what I read, but PNG support is back in version 2.0.32. I would prefer to verify that this is the case before I go to the host and ask them to fix anything.

Well I never found out what version was running, but I asked them to upgrade GD and everything seems to be working fine. Now when I get the gd_info the GD Version reads "bundled (2.0.28 compatible)".

Hey man, run phpinfo() and you will know which version of GD is with ur PHP

Nope, as stated in my original post I ran [man]phpinfo/man and it returned "2.0 or higher". Now that GD has been upgraded [man]phpinfo/man returns the same thing as [man]gd_info/man, which says "bundled (2.0.28 compatible)".
