[Resolved] Set a variable's name

I'd like to create a variable from another's value. For instance I'd like to take $_GET['var'] 's value and make it the name of a new variable.

$this = $_GET['var'];

$[$this names new var] = 'my new var';

In this case it is the variable name I am try to change and not it's value.

I hope that was clear.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Never mind - had the answer right in front of me, embarrassed.

$this = $_GET['var'];
$$this = 'my new var';
