Long-time lurker, first time poster. Apologies for the bad form in posting a request for help as a "Hello!", but I'm absolutely stumped right now. I was hoping someone may be able to help me.
Basically, I'm trying to take 3 variables from a form and insert them in a dataabse. The first two (job title, resource manager) are straight forward, and they go in no problem at all. The third one is the issue.
It's a "browse to file" field, and the user will typically go somewhere like M:\Sales\CVs\myfile.doc before they click submit.
When they click submit, I need to strip out the "M:" and replace it with "file://Company/.Network1.Site.Services" (same format, different words).
This would give a full path to a document that is to be submitted to the database - file://Company/.Network1.Site.Services\Sales\CVs\myfile.doc - I'm guessing I need to replace the \'s with /'s as well.
That path will then form the basis of a link that will appear on a subsequent page.
It's kinda worked once, but then failed again later. I'm absolutely stuck on what to do, and could do with any help that anyone can provide.
Thanks in advance, and, again, apologies for the first post cry for help.
