Creating a timer

Hello,

I am writting a program that runs reports on large amounts of data, the report is some what slow and once the user clicks on run report it appears to the user as if the "click" did not take. How do you make one of those timers you see on orbitz or expedia that have a progress bar with a please wait?

you would need to use some form of clientside scripting

examples would be javascript, or flash
