I am looking for a web tool that would let me create a database and then give me options for displaying it, editing it, etc.
I have seen MANY tools for just and editing creating databases. I don't need that.. I have seen tools that help you create the php and then you have to publish it to your site... Don't want that either...
The key for me is a web based tool that asks what fields I would like, I can tell it the field names, data type, etc and then goes the next step and asks me how I want those displayed and then "Click Next" and it is there to use.
An example is MS Sharepoint. Sharepoint lets you create a "Custom List" where you define fields and data types. You can then let other users view it the way you have specified and provide access, etc the way you specify.
The Sharepoint tool is pretty much exactly what I am looking for in usability etc, except for one thing... I don't want to use Sharepoint. I want to use PHP and MYSQL
Anyone know of a PHP/MYSQL tool that lets me do this?
I have tried many portals and content management systems, have not found one that does this... I am open to looking at others. The key is the simplification that you get with Sharepoint...
