[Resolved] date("Y-m-d") problem

Hi guys,
I’ve searched the forum and web but haven't been able to find exactly what I’m looking for.

If anyone can guide me in the right direction i would be more than grateful. I’m a newbie so do bare with me!

I'm making a booking system and would like the admin to add a constraint so a booking cannot be made more than, say, 2 months (or 56 days) in advance. I am using the following format in my code:

$todaydate = date("Y-m-d");

I’m am of course not going to paste the whole booking code but can anyone please guide me as to the next step?

If say, $todaydate = 2005-11-01
and i add the integer 2, to the month value. I get 2005-13-01. It should really be 2006-01-01

Really stuck, please help.

Yep, worked a treat. Just one other question please.

If i have a variable:
$adminConstraint = 2;

How can i use that variable in the following code (i want to replace the +2 with the $adminConstraint variable ):

$future = date('Y-m-d', strtotime('+2 months'));

ok i've figured it out:

$future = date('Y-m-d', strtotime("+".$adminConstraint." months"));
