Just wondering does anyone know where i can find a tutorial on building a php reservation page.
Well, Google comes to mind.
But, more realistically, think about this. PHP can be used to build all kinds of things, from sites to backup scripts to encryption programs to automated forum moderators. Heh, maybe I'm one? Why don't you start out by learning to write a script that, say, lists a few phone numbers read from a text file or a database, or searches Google for you, or checks to see if your machine is really connected to the internet, or makes a list of all your cookies?
I am building a car rental site and need help badly.
I can code one up for you for the low, low price of $5.00 US per line. Now, be forewarned, though --- this is from a retail site:

That's a small chunk of change for some companies, but I bet you don't have 11 grand budgeted for this project, right? And, keep in mind, that's just the top level directory ... 😉
One thing I can help you with. Make a better plan than the following:
Or maybe on how to check the availability of a vehicle for certain dates if you know what i mean
Yes, that's fairly understandable, but who's gonna do the whole thing for ya for free?
See Getting help at all , for example. It's not that I'm (or anyone, most likely) is out to get you. But your post is sitting here with zero responses (until now) for a reason. You didn't really ask anything that we could answer.
So, what can you write? What have you written for this site you're building? And does it work, or not? What is your plan for the project?
There are some good threads in the Echo Lounge (believe it or not) about recommended reading. Some of those books might teach you a lot. Maybe you should get one. AAMOF, if you buy this one, you're even helping out some of the great people who make this board a cool community while you learn about PHP.
I'm not upset, and if you see smoke, it's probably just from rubbing two newbies together ... not from flames. It's just that it's pretty much impossible to tell you everything you need to know in one sitting, all on a message board, and it's a little silly to ask for such, and if you're not too careful, you end up sounding like you want someone to do all your work for you. I'm sure that's not the case, but let me encourage you to do some work up front and then come back with a solvable problem...
