Hello,

I've been away for a while so i've missed this "blog" craze.

After a little research (oh god don't make me read all those weirdos sad pathetic journals again, I beg you!) and a few "Why, oh why for the love of something naked and female have you created this crap", I've decided to create a "SLOG" (s**t log) because I like taking the p*ss outta stupid idea's.

BUT! before you defend your great blog by attempting to flame. This is only my opinion (that I am entitled to as written on the back of my hand...although that could just be my name and address for when i'm drunk).

What do you think of blogs?
Do you find them useful?
Do you find other people's blog's interesting or do you just use them as a quick way to knock yourself unconscious (via bordom)?
and finally...Do you have a blog?

1) blogs are all right got nothing agaisnt its interesting to see what interests people have especially if they have similar to yours.

2) useful, depends on the blog some blogs are very programming orientated and contain things people did or found so i guess yes.

3) depends on if the person has the same interests as myself then yea id suppose you say there interesting

4) and yes i have a blog i mainly use it so i can look back on myself and see what i did the day before last however i dont post much on it

By the way wouldnt your SLOG still be considered a Blog? considering its just a persons journal you'd probably be recounting something you did.

1. Blogs are great actually. I'm all for a democratization of this space. And this also does include billions of completely dumb blogs too.

2. Useful - fucking right! Where this tech/programming stuff is concerned it has made me smarter.

3. I have found some that have similar interests. But, more importantly, I'm able to keep up with friends across an ocean this way.

4. I have a personal blog, but last time I checked, even Google couldn't find it. It's for friends and family basically (but we don't really care who finds it). We, since I share it with my better half, don't talk about very personal stuff though - we'll leave that for folks on LiveJournal.

I think mocking blogs is about 3 years over due - aren't you late to the party? I suggest you get a LiveJournal and start flaming people where ever you can. It will probably be more fun that way.

1. Blogs can be informative, sometimes funny, sometimes f**king boring. Depends on what you find informative/funny/boring etc etc

2. Can be useful...

Ok, my $0.02 on blogs and people who moan about them: you don't have to read them. No one is forcing you to. I don't expect anyone to read mine. You read it because you either know me or have stumbled across it.

I know people who have them because they have friends/family in other countries and it's easier to post news to a blog than to call everyone.

Basically, it's like the rest of the www... you don't have to read them. If they bore you, do't bother. Whats the point in moaning about them?

IANAP (I am not a psychologist) but I'm sure there is a very complex theory as to why people post blogs and why other people read them. For me, like the others, I read blogs that interest, entertain or inform me. And yes, there is a lot of crap out there, but at least it provides an outlet for those of us who's family and friends are sick of hearing the same old stuff every day. 🙂

2) No, but some can be amusing. You can laugh at them, and not feel so stupid anymore cause there's always someone worse!
3) All depends. My friend doesn't know I read his blog. That's how I knew he had a crush on me...And my other friend's blog is hilarious. Some can be good. Some are just snore-worthy.

1. I've read a few blogs.

2. Not really.

3. Some of them are quite funny.

4. Sort of. I don't update it very often and people can't post replies to entries. I will however, soon include a feedback page.

1) I don't mind them, but those stupid emo kids annoy the hell out of me.
2) Useful? No, not per se, but some information within can be handy.
3) I tend to find technology-centric blogs better, and read a few of them (mainly about web programming) daily.

i forgot to post in it for about 4 months.. than i remembered.. posted 2 articles in it.. then forgot it agay 🙁
