Glad to be here with you, typing from Puerto Rico, the reason I'm here is that I chose PHP for a university paper of programming languages. Whil I'm gathering info on PHP I found that it is a powerful programming language, used for almost everything.

Hi, and welcome. Do yourself a favor, and take the time to read the posted FAQs in the various sections. You will get a lot of info, and save yourself the headache of being slammed for posting outside of the guidelines established in them. Making friends here is easy, but unfortunately, making enemies can be even easier. 😉

Welcome to you as well proneil. I see you are becoming good friends with Laserlight in this thread. LOL
You gotta bring some code to the table (or at the very least, some understanding). It's hard to get people to write the code for you. Remember, we're all paid professionals and do this as a hobby... Most of the time, we don't have the time (without the incentive) to do the work for you.

Hey, maybe this thread should be retitled "welcome wagon" or something?

Actually, "Hello PHPbuilder Members" might be just enough. Anyway, as Defender is pointing out:

• There are FAQs "stickied" at the top of almost every forum

• Tag your code [php]$somecode[/php] sometimes this finds the error for you!

• Use our search link (near the top) and Google first

• no talk 2 much lik IRC/phreakz, use SHIFT 1nce n a while...

I'm sure there's other stuff that is a "no no", but really, a little common sense is all you really need to get on quite well around here. Nice community ... welcome to it!
