depressed about sessions, shopping cart

I have managed to add products from my site to a basket and i can view the contents of the basket, but what im trying to do now is after clicking on the checkout link, it will display a form for customers to enter their details and somewhow when they click submit i would like their details to be saved along with what they have ordered... There is a session called $_SESSION['cart'] which contains the id number for the products in the cart but i was wondering how im going to go about it?

Any ideas? Id be reall thankful if anyone could help me. I spent all day yesterday trying to work this out and i could not get it to work 🙁

what do yuo want to know...how to put it in a db? which part are you stuck on? could we see some code?
