Complete PHP newbie

Have gone as far as i want with HTML and CSS and would now like to learn all i can about PHP. I have been advised to install a web-server such as Apache or even trying to find a preconfigured package but i am still in need of help and advice just setting it up for me to begin learning the basics. Could someone help please. Thanks all. dcolin

Well, the first thing you'll need to do is install Apache then download PHP then follow the PHP installation instructions for Apache.

if you want a preconfigured package, theres many.

1 i have used and like is this

on windows, its litterally as easy as double clikcing the .exe and your done.
apache, mysql, php, perl and a bunch of other stuff will be all set up and working.
