Image Include edit

ok i was wondering if it is possible to include and to cut off the bottom and if possible add add some text

ok i have a pic like this

what i want is to only include all the info without the "Powered by: sig...." and if possible to add my own custom text?

what makes you think something is wrong?

are you getting an error? if so, what is it? help us help you.

ill take a guess though. i dont think you want a 1x1 pixel sized image. thats what your making.

ok first im trying to get an image to show up, ill do the resizing later once i get this to work but whats causing the problem is the

im not to familiar with that "imagecopyresampled" code and what we have to put inside the parentheses.

If you're not planning on resizing the image, just crop it, then [man]imagecopy[/man] would be simpler.

First, get your image (you've got that bit).
You'll want to know what size it is, so that you know how big to make the cropped image: [man]imagesx[/man] and [man]imagesy[/man].
You'll also need to know how many pixels to trim off the bottom (that's something you'll need to work out).

Now you can create a new image ([man]imagecreate[/man]) that is as wide as the original, and as high as the original minus the bit clipped off the bottom.

The top left corner of the new image is the same as the top left corner of the original image, so the x and y fields are all zero. The width and height are those of the original image.

Wouldn't it be simpler just to change the original image to begin with? Why can't you do that?

Ok i didnt use imagecopy because i am starting to learn php and i dont know all the snippets and commands yet but this is as far as i got for the script and i wasnt to sure how to fill in the things in the parenthiseis right but here it is....didnt work out to great
