can i get help for the setting cookie in perl?

There is problem in perl script..
this script set the server and extract the output of search string.but bcoz of not setting the cookie it redirects the login page....
the code is something like this...
#my $cookie_jar = HTTP::Cookies->new(

file => $HASH{"COOKIEFILE"},

autosave => 1,

#);
#$ua->cookie_jar( $cookie_jar );

i doubt you're gonna get too much help with PERL in here, being a PHP forum and all... but maybe someone will put forth some effort to help you...

i'm sure there has to be a simple cookie example in PERL out there on the web somewhere
