problem with mail() - urgent!

Hey...
I've used mail() loads of times...... but for some reason its not working on one of the pages I am making..... when I use

mail() it loads the page no problems - but just doesnt send the email....

when I use

mail() or die (mysql_error())

it causes the page not to load - as it appears to be finding an error.... but not displaying anything....

I'm not surprised the page isn't loading - what has mysql_error() got to do with mail()?

Need more info. What are the differences between this page and the other ones where it does work? Check the variables that are being used in the mail() function and make sure they're getting the values they should be. Doing some debugging and telling us the results would be helpful.

sorry - didnt realise using the mysql_error wouldnt produce any errors....!! Durr...!

I tried

mail("[e-mail]","test","testy");

and the page loaded ok - but I never get an email - I have also uploaded the same page to another of my sites on a different server.... and it works fine....

I cannot access any error logs either..... the host of this site is pants - so maybe they might have got the mail function not installed properly??
