PHPTriad uninstall

I had PHPTriad installed on my old desktop at work. About 2 weeks ago, I got "refreshed." Such a nice name for getting a new computer. Anyway, I should have uninstalled PHPTriad before the guy came, but he showed up unexpectedly and I was in the middle of something, so didn't get a chance. You kind of just have to stop what you're doing and back off when they show up. I told him that I wanted to reinstall a newer version, but he must have not understood because I have bits and piece of PHPTriad installed and it isn't working right, but it doesn't show up in add/remove programs anymore. Plus it's all old versions. I found IBSERVER which is really close to the versions that are running on our live server, so decided to go with that. I tried just installing IBSERVER, but there's enough PHPTriad out there that things were getting all confused when I try to go to localhost and all that.

I decided to start over this morning, so did an uninstall on IBSERVER.

I want to completely get ride of all traces of PHPTriad, but when I go to add/remove programs, of course, it isn't out there, nor is PHP, Apache, or mySQL. I can do a search on Apache, PHP, and mySQL and find lots of hits on those searches, but don't know what to do with all those files. Some I know are what are and some I don't.

Any advice???

Hmm, is that what is means?

I thought that was a newer nicer way to say "disk formatted and Windows reinstalled," which I call flattening.

Did PHPTriad show up in add/remove programs on the old system?

Is the new system the same OS as the old one?

If so, could you reinstall the old version of PHP triad and then have your system delete it from the Control Panel?

They just call it a refresh around here. I really means a whole new system every 2 years. I've got some killer speakers, but what am I supposed to do with 'em? There's 7 of us in this office with junior walls seperating us 🙂.

I really don't know if PHPTriad showed up in add/remove programs before because I never looked, but actually, I think it may have because I had it loaded on my home computer and removed it to go with FoxServ instead about a year or 6 months ago. It either had an uninstall or was in the add/remove because I was able to remove it before loading FoxServ. A year is such a long time to remember back to. Anyway, whatever it was that I did, it remove it without any problem and I was able to load FoxServ with no problem. I don't remember having to go in and remove each piece individually (Apache, PHP, mySQL, phpMyAdmin) and I certainly would have remembered that, but I do remember removing it because when I did, it deleted my htdocs folder and I had to restore it. Luckily I had backed it up beforehand.

Both systems are Windows XP Pro SP1. The only reason that I don't know if I can reinstall PHPTriad and then uninstall it is that I don't know exactly where it got put. I've looked and I can't figure it out. It's somewhere on my D drive and I think that's the majority of the problem. I think I may end up having to get him back over here and the 2 of us figuring out what's going on with it.

I'm pretty brain dead right now. Dealing with this and stuff with my dad. He's in a nursing home in rehab and it's a nightmare. Found some bad stuff out about the nursing home so trying to get him move somewhere else... Plus normal parent stuff with a teenager. I probably stay brain dead though 🙂.
