manipulating a SET variable

Hi,
I have a SET type variable and i dont know how to manipulate it through php. I need to use it in a switch statement and dont know how to do it. If someone can give me a hint so i can dig in further by myself, i would be greatful. Thanks. Or a link where i could find something about this issue, manipulting SET var.

If you mean that you have a mysql Set column type then you have a comma delimited list. Use explode() to convert it into an array that you can then work with.
