cannot send mail using php

I am having problem with sending mail in php to other intranet users, i am using the command

mail(to,subject,message)

it show no error while executing but message is not recieved in the inbox of the user.

we are using squirrel mail.

other softwares are linux,apache,php

You need to have a from header more than likely why its not being recieved also checking of the mail server logs will help you.
