Keep results from a search

Hello

Somebody can give a hint of how to do this:

Let's say I have a list of results coming from a search from my database and then you click an option and whatever you see the contents etc. (I have done this already)

Then you want to go back to your result page with "one click" to find the results that you previously searched before so you can select another option instead of making the search again

I have tried to do it with a single "back to searck" link but when I go back my search lost the parameters so its empty.

Any help or idea is greatly appreciated

When you're generating the links for the user to click based on their search, include the parameters in the URL i.e. page_that_user_wanted.php?search_param=blah

When you're on the search page, check to see if $_GET['search_param'] exists, and if it does, simply use that as the query.

What you want is to access the client's history with your back to search link, just like the user pressed the back button on their toolbar and got the previouse page from cache. This is basically an html, javascript, DOM problem. Do a search of on 'browser history' and you'll find the answer.
