[Resolved] Displaying unlimited images from a database

Hi !
can anyone direct me to a good ( simple ) tutorial or notes on how to display images, whose names are stored in a database, on a web page. Ideally i want to display me images ( thumbnails ) in rows of 5 or 6, but there is no definite number as they will vary for each record, some reocrd have 5 images another could have 20. I only seem to have a handle on how to display them in a list but for the sake of asthetics would like to see them in a row.

here is a simple way of doing it.
Example below will display 4 across and then begin new line.

echo "<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"10\">\n";

$sql = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM table WHERE catID=".$_REQUEST["catID"]." ORDER BY title") or die (mysql_error());

// Set initial value to zero
$cntrow = 0;
