Hi,

check the code for missing ; at the end of the lines.

....
$puhelin=$_POST['puhelin'];
$toinenyhteyshenkilo=$_POST['toinenyhteyshenkilo'];
$note=$_POST['note'];
$record_id=$_POST['record_id'];
$db_username = "student"; 
.....

Besides that ... use shorter variable names to make things a little bit easier.

ok, I managed to solve my problem. I was making a blunder by not POSTING the primary key value via hidden field

if your getting errors you really should post them.

also, those variable names. they really should be shorter. and even if english is your second language, its always recommended to use english variable names. what if someone else needs to work on your code?

i dont know what any of those variables are.
