problem with limit 1 ?

Anyone know if there has been a fix to the possible limit 1 bug when there is only a single record?

I'm a little concerned since I recently found this and have tables wanting to use "DESC limit 1" on.

I've got a site that I use that on for several pages to give the latest news item that was added to MyTable.

$query = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM MyTable ORDER BY ID DESC LIMIT 1 ");

Please can you post your code for us to look at.

Have not run code, my tables have just been laid out for this.

I'm trying to determine if there is a real problem with limit 1 before I follow through on it.

Well, for what it is worth, I haven't ever had a problem.

Might be worth taking a short time to stick 2 rows of completely different data and call one of them via a basic query.

If you didn't worry about format, wouldn't take more than 10 mins to do.

Hey BEFOR, just to clarify, are you using MySQL or PostgreSQL? Cheese, this issue doesn't exists in MySQL (based on the example you provided), so that's why you've never seen the problem.
