Mysql insists!!! -> 2147483649

I have a table in my mysql database with a column with the datatype int = 10

when i tried to insert

9876543210

in it the data that is actually store becomes:

2147483647

no matter whan i do, or what number i enter.. as long as it's greated than:

2147483647

it reverts back to that number..

i tried

2147483648

and still what is actually stored is:

2147483647

annoying.

what am i missing here?

2**31-1 = 2147483647

Basically, you're trying to store a number too large for the INT field to contain.
Try BIGINT, but you'll have to read the mysql manual to watch out for pitfalls.
