MySQL: How to sort rows via 2 criteria?

Hi

i was wondering.. how does one sort them returned rows via 2 criteria?

say i have a database of exams....

i wana sort them primarily via exam date... and secondarily, via their $ID number..

What im trying to achieve is for all exams set on the same schedule, the latest exam set would be on the very top of the pack..

ahh... and what if i want date to be DESC and id to be ASC??
