multidemisional arrays and mysql

Hi. I have a quick question hopely there's a way to do it. I've searched as well as tried to create functions to no avail.

I'm attempting to re-sort mysql results by assigning each item to a multidemisional array with the row number in one array and the item in the second array

example:

i assume you mean the row number as the key and a sub-array of the row as the value. soemthing like this:

$result = mysql_query('SELECT * FROM table');
while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result))
{
	$array[$row['id']] = $row;
}
print_r($array);
