Get the time between two Date/Time stamps

Hello,

I currently have a simple ticket system. It uses the following datestamp format for the time it was opened:

2005-02-15 10:06:13

And the same format when the last action was taken or it was closed.

Basically I am wondering how to convert two timestamps into something like:

Duration: 1 Day, 3 Hours, 45 minutes.

if your are doing this in PHP:
covert them both to timestamps using [man]strtotime[/man] then substract the get the difference in seconds. then divide by 60/60/24 to get minutes/hours/days

if your are doing this in mySQL:
use DATEDIFF() or TIMEDIFF()

I didnt write this function but i have used it and it works very nicely.
