PHP Include and Back button

Hey,

I have a problem! I have a page that uses includes to call others. I just done a page with search results, and when a link is clicked to the whole article, the user can't go back to the search results using the browser back button. It tryies to call the include link causing the page to only reload.

Is there any workaround or should I not use includes?

This is a link example:

http://localhost/publishing/index.php?source=includes/visualiza.php&visualiza=7

you cant link to your local computer.

only you can see that link.

anyway, sounds like you are opening a new window when they click your link.

stop doing that and your problem will be solved. btw- this has nothing to do with includes.

The link is intended to you to see how the result page is populated "index.php?source=includes/visualiza.php&visualiza=7"

I'm not opening a new window, I'm using includes!

well, what actually happens when the back button is pressed?

if your on

somepage.php

and you click a link that leads you to

somepage.php?include=blah

if you press the back button, you should go back to somepage.php

if for example, on

somepage.php?source=blah

you have a form that submits via post to ITSELF, then this could cause your problem.

changing the form to submit via GET would probably work, but you havnt given much info yet so i cant say for sure.

If I am at:

/index.php?source=includes/busca.php

And I click on the link:

/index.php?source=includes/visualiza.php&visualiza=7

And then click back button:

Page reloads:

/index.php?source=includes/visualiza.php&visualiza=7

If I take a look at history:

You can see that the previus history is the link, not the page title.

Thanks a lot for your help. I did found the problem. I have an iframe for authentication on top of the page, and it was creating the history link. I corrected using a simple script to redirect the iframe without the history:

print "<script language=\"JavaScript\">\n";
print "page='logado.php'\n";
print "window.location.replace(page);\n";
print "</script>\n";

Now it's working great! 🙂
