Windows xp problem

Heey

i'm having a huge problem with windows xp.
For some reason when i press " it doesn't do "
it does nothing. But when i press " twice it does do something and gives me ""
Basicly this means every time i want " i need to push " " backspace

This is so annoying when trying to code.
I don't have any adware or virusses pc is completely clean. I have seen the same thing with other people who have xp. Pretty sure it's part of xp but i would like to know how to turn it off cause you can imagine how annoying this is

Have you recently installed any keyboard mapping software? Also, if you have one available, use another keyboard - just to see if it is an electronic problem...

Basically I'm of no help to you whatsoever, but I just wanted to mention that I have had similar issues when using mexican keyboards with the apostrophe key. Drives me nuts. Don't know of a solution, aside from using a different keyboard and map.

Oh, this really isn't related to php either. Perhaps a windows forum instead? Don't know a good one of those either. Sorry.

Well, I think he is trying to code some PHP, and his keyboard is not cooperating. So, instead of looking around for another forum, he probably decided to use the best one he knows of (PHPBuilder)...

It's possible that there will be all sorts of windows experts on this board who will jump up to help with a problem like this (for example, you). However, the likelyhood is that there will be more people who know about the intricacies of windows text input on a good windows forum than there would be on a php forum.

I'm not saying he can't ask here (though looking through all the javascript threads, its possible someone else will), I'm just saying that he may find better help elsewhere.

For all future people to sufere from this shit. Check you language settings. Don't ever put your keyboard language on dutch never do it. It's hell
