Daylight saving: any smart tips?
Hi!
This is all about a commercial little script I've worked on three months.
How do I (shall I) take into account the daylight savings:
1/ when saving php timestamps into the database?
2/ when displaying the date using date();
For the moment I don't even take it into account (daylight savings), nor do I really know how it works actually!!
Could someone come with a solution that will display all date scorrectly for all people over the world (With daylight savings).
BTW, how has vBulletin solved this problem?When registering, they've made something like:
In addition, you may set the appropriate option to allow for daylight savings time in your part of the world. Automatically detect DST settingsDST corrections always onDST corrections always off DST Correction Option:
How does that work?
Thanks!
